Alameda Institute

Delivering a feasibility study for a £12.5m global campaign.

Our work with the Alameda Institute has been a captivating experience for the Gifted project team. As we deliver a feasibility study for a £12.5m campaign, we have gained invaluable insights into how international challenges and social struggles are perceived and addressed.

Alameda Institute, a pioneering global research organisation, is on the path to securing independent funding after its incubation within Save the Children UK. Led by an innovative team of researchers and social strategists, Alameda is dedicated to tackling some of the world’s most pressing issues - chief among them the far-reaching impacts of the dominant global economic system and the strategic management of polycrises for a more equitable future.

One of the most inspiring aspects of our collaboration has been witnessing Alameda’s unique internationalist perspective, with strong ties between its UK and Brazil offices, and plans to expand into South Africa. A key tenet of Alameda’s mission is ensuring that the voices and ideologies of the Global South are not overshadowed by the dominant Global North. This perspective influences every facet of their work, including their thoughtful approach to gift acceptance, which has been a deeply engaging process to explore alongside their team.
