Alleyn's School
Alleyn’s is a leading UK independent school in Dulwich, with a proud reputation for doing education differently. At the heart of the school’s approach to teaching and learning is the desire to equip young people with the skills and emotional intelligence to flourish in a radically changing world: whether that’s adapting to rapid advances in AI or building relationships that sustain personal development and career ambitions.
All In - £10 million campaign to support sector-defining education
Taking this ethos and ambition forwards has set in motion AlI In - a £10 million campaign to secure more bursaries for talented children through the Founder’s Bursary Fund and provide landmark new spaces for learning. Both will have a lasting impact on the Alleyn’s community, its partners and friends, for generations to come.
“When we were appointed to conduct the fundraising feasibility study for these major initiatives, we could sense that the school knew exactly what it wanted to achieve,” says Gifted’s Lead Director, Andrew Day. “The vision was clear from the outset: to extend the current bursary provision with an additional £5 million from individual donations, legacies and major gifts, and to create new learning, dining and performance spaces that supported Alleyn’s commitment to sector defining education.”
Early success
The All In campaign is due to formally launch this Autumn when the fundraising team expects to be able to announce that early leadership giving has already raised over a third of the school’s £10 million target.
“We’ve been bowled over by the school community’s buy-in to both the vision for bursaries and new facilities,” says Gifted Director, Chris Goldie. “Early success such as this owes much to the relationships that have been built in the lead up to the campaign. Givers feel confident that the school can deliver on its promise, and that the benefits will be felt by every pupil. In Alleyn’s case the trust people feel in an institution committed to seeing young people reach their full potential, is extraordinary.”
