Gifted
National Churches Awards 2023
Since Gifted was founded, we’ve had the pleasure of partnering with more than 20 churches across the UK. From the beautiful simplicity of small churches like St Olaf’s in the Lakes District, to the stunning grandeur of Cathedrals such as Peterborough, Gloucester and St Albans, our work has reinforced how important these places are to both our national identity and sense of well-being.
The National Church Awards – the ‘BAFTAs for churches’
The inherent value of these buildings to the communities they serve is also what inspires the National Churches Trust to fulfil its mission of keeping the UK’s wonderful collection of churches open to everyone and sustainably flourishing. Over the years, many of our clients have received grants from the Trust, whether for urgent repairs to fabric or to help realise transformational refurbishment plans.
This month, the Trust launched its annual National Church Awards, fondly referred to as the ‘BAFTAs for churches’. Aimed at celebrating the extraordinary stories that churches have to tell, this year’s awards focus on six main categories:
- Church architecture awards
- Church maintenance awards
- Church tourism awards
- Church volunteer awards
- Friends award
- Church of the year award
To nominate your church and find out more about the individual awards and prizes on offer, go to the National Churches Trust and enter your details by Sunday 23 July 2023.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on Monday 6 November 2023. Information on tickets and how to join the livestream of the ceremony will be available nearer the time.
