Team Domenica

Since 2016, Team Domenica has been supporting young people with learning disabilities in Brighton & Hove, and across Sussex. Over the past ten years its community has steadily grown and the challenges of delivering multi-year, person centred courses for young people have become more complex. “Trustees and staff were keen to identify potential new sites for a Team Domenica ‘hub’ that could bring all the charity’s activities under one roof,” says Gifted’s Amy Stevens. “Last year, we were invited to test this vision in a Feasibility Study which indicated resounding support for the project.”
A ‘Flagship for Futures’
Earlier this year, Team Domenica reappointed us to help launch its £2 million Flagship for Futures campaign and provide advice on raising the balance of funds required for the £4 million project. “Getting this far down the track in such a relatively short space of time is a testament to the leadership shown by the charity’s fundraising team,” adds Amy. “Achieving six figure gifts so early in the piece only happens when long term donor relationships are attentively managed. Building close relationships with grant makers and having effective stewardship practices in place makes a huge difference to a campaign’s success. The amazing fundraisers and leadership team at Team Domenica are doing everything right and we’re thrilled that their future home in the heart of Brighton is now secure for a new generation of young learners.”
