The Campaign for the Protection of Rural England in the Peak District and South Yorkshire is widely respected for working with communities, businesses and local authorities to  keep the region's countryside and green spaces thriving.

As the charity approaches its centenary in 2024, its vision is to strengthen its position as an independent scrutiniser of planning applications and a skilled co-ordinator of effective, high profile campaigns. Trustees also want to tackle a wide range of issues from irresponsible quarrying to greater protection of greenbelt land, with the help of more legal and development experts.
